Assessment of Capacity to Consent to Treatment (ACCT) Tool
The ACCT is an assessment tool for clinicians to use as one component in assessing a person’s ability to consent to medical treatment in view of four abilities: Understanding, Appreciation, Reasoning, and Expressing a Choice. A manual provides a description of the instrument development, psychometric properties, administration, and scoring.
