What is The Clock-in-the-Box?
The Clock-in-the-Box (CIB) is a brief (under two minutes) cognitive screening instrument that can help identify patients with cognitive or functional deficits. The CIB is a cognitive screening instrument and should not be used as the sole factor in identifying patients with cognitive disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or delirium.
Use of The CIB

The CIB was developed by Drs. Laura Grande, Regina McGlinchey, & William Milberg who were employees of the VA New England Geriatric Research, Education, & Clinical Center. All work using the CIB should cite the creators appropriately.
