James Whitworth, PhD
James joined the TRACTS team as a postdoctoral research fellow in September 2018, after earning his PhD in Kinesiology from Columbia University. He is currently on a two-year research fellowship through Boston University and the National Center for PTSD, conducting research in the areas of exercise, PTSD, and related health conditions, such as diabetes and heart disease. His prior work has included observational and experimental studies examining the effects of exercise on physical and mental health.
James is also a proud OIF/OEF veteran. He is very motivated to be at the Boston VA and to have this opportunity to serve his fellow veterans in any way he can. In his spare time, James likes traveling, running, weight lifting, and football. Go Pats!
